New Publisher Coming Soon!

If you’ve been following my work, you know that I’ve currently got my first book up on Amazon~ In fact? I just finished publishing the latest update with all new cover art provided by Midjourney AI! Please check it out on Amazon!

However, I am well aware that not everyone likes Amazon as a company…

Due to this, I have found a second publisher to also offer my works through whose company ethics I 100% approve of~ Lulu Publishing is an excellent company with strong morals that specializes in supporting freelance authors like myself. They are even a Certified B Corp that does loads to help our environment! Truly a company I can get behind!

However, their fees are much higher… Thus, anyone who goes to purchase my book from them will notice a price hike of nearly double of what I ask on Amazon. My sincerest apologies… I do not have any control over the fees the company tacks onto the revenue I hope to make. In an effort to be fully transparent… I shall disclose everything here.

Both Amazon & Lulu charge printing fees that depend on the size of the book… For Amazon it’s about $5. For Lulu it’s about $10. Both Amazon & Lulu charge royalty fees. Amazon’s is 40%. Lulu’s is only 30%. I set my revenue request to $5 per book in the American market… But this is where the two companies differ….

Amazon doesn’t charge any distribution fees-

Lulu does!

This is because Lulu offers the ability to sell my books to bookstores all around the world! Lulu’s distribution fee also depends on the size of the book… and for ‘The Kitsutora’? It’s $13.14… Ouch-

This is why you’ll find my book on Amazon for only $17.99, while it’ll be $32.78 on Lulu…

I do not like this, but there’s nothing I can do about the fees the company tacks onto my asking price… However, if you purchase my book directly from Lulu Publishing? They give me the distribution fee instead of keeping it! I found this quite surprising!

So for anyone who chooses to purchase my book from Lulu? You have my sincerest thanks for your increased support! If you send me a picture of my book next to it’s Lulu packaging? I will gladly send you a personalized postcard to say thank you~

I leave the decision entirely up to you~~~~ (-^v^-) v

Whether you choose purchase the book on Amazon to save money or through Lulu or even from a bookstore that orders it from Lulu, I shall be most grateful! I fully support everyone’s freedom to choose how they wish to support my work.

All the best to each of you!
